Reciprocal Agreements

Reciprocal Borrowing between Wintec, the University of Waikato & Waikato District Health Board Libraries

Wintec, the University of Waikato and the Waikato District Health Board libraries have reciprocal borrowing arrangements:

  • Wintec staff & students and Waikato DHB staff may borrow from the University of Waikato
  • Wintec staff and University of Waikato staff may borrow from the Waikato DHB
  • University of Waikato staff & students and Waikato DHB staff may borrow from Wintec​

There is no charge for this service. Current institutional ID must be shown. For Waikato DHB staff an id with a white background is required. You must reregister each calendar year.

Borrowing rights are restricted to:

  • Books

​Borrowing excludes:

  • Audio-visual material
  • Course reserve collections
  • Databases
  • Interlibrary loan service
  • Off-campus materials
  • Serials

Please note that library membership applies to borrowing in person, it does not apply to email/mail or telephone requests.

Please observe the following conditions when borrowing from the reciprocal library:

  • library policies apply (see library website for details)
  • items may not be renewed, recalled or reserved
  • up to 10 items may be borrowed at a time

All intending borrowers from other institutions must read the policies in the library regulations. By borrowing under the reciprocal arrangement, you are agreeing to abide by the terms stated in those regulations.
