Finding more Items with OneSearch
When you first type something into OneSearch, it searches EVERYTHING Wintec Library has - thousands of items! Use OneSearch to look for print books, ebooks, academic journal articles, CDs and DVDs..
A few tips before you start...
1. Start simple.
It's easiest to start with a basic search in the OneSearch box and then change it once you have your results. If you're an expert already, you can also use the Advanced Search for your initial search.
2. Remember, you are seeing almost EVERYTHING Wintec Library has - and that's a lot!
OneSearch looks through all that Wintec Library holds. Your initial search might find you just what you need - or it might not. Too many results can be overwhelming, so use the filters to the left of the results screen to change your results.
3. Instead of searching all items, you can search for a particular item type, e.g. books, eBooks, articles.

Finding print books, CDs, and DVDs with OneSearch
Finding Books:
1. Go to the Library home page and find the OneSearch box.
2. Enter a keyword or keywords in the Search box and tick 'Catalogue Only':
3. Use the left hand Limit menu to limit to books:
4. You may want to limit the dates of the books you find. Locate the date limiter on the left hand side. Type in the date of the earliest books you want to see.
5. Browse the books on the list you have created. Select the books you want to read.
Finding online ebooks with OneSearch
1. Under the Format Type limiter, select eBooks and allow OneSearch to update.
2. You are now seeing only Wintec Library's online ebooks. Click 
to see and read an ebook.

You can always click Current Search to see what limiters you have set on your search:
Finding academic journal articles from the databases with OneSearch
1. Under the Format limiter, select
