Author A., Author, B., Author, C. (Date). Title of article. Title of Journal, volume number(issue number), article page range. 


Example—reference list entry
Millard, S. K., Nicholas, A., & Cook, F. M. (2008). Is parent-child interaction effective in reducing suffering? Journal of Speech, Language & Hearing Research, 51(3), 636–650.

Note: If the serial has a DOI, use this in your reference list.

Example—in-text citation

First citation

Millard, Nicholas and Cook (2008) explain … (p. 640). 
or
… (Millard, Nicholas, & Cook, 2008, p. 640).

Second and subsequent citations

Millard et al. (2008) explain … (p. 640).
or
… (Millard et al., 2008, p. 640).
