Helpful information about library resources, staff, borrowing and more

Self service quick links

Using the self-checkout machine

We encourage you to use the self check-out machine to borrow your books. It’s quick and simple to use!

Your receipt tells you which books you have borrowed and when they are due back at the Library. Don’t forget to return or renew them by this date! If you lose the receipt, you can check the due date in your Library account.

You can borrow your own books, but will need to go to the Library Help Desk for:

   - CDs

   - DVDs

   - Journals

All you need is your student ID card. It is also your library card:

Having trouble?
If the machine doesn’t work for you, go to the Library Help Desk for assistance.

Printing@Wintec

All of our multi-fuction devices (MFDs) at Wintec can print. There are costs for printing.

  2. Go to any Wintec multi-function device (MFD) with your Wintec ID card.* There are several MFDs in the City and Rotokauri Hubs, and at least one in each Library.
  3. Hold your card over the electronic fob on the machine until it recognises your card.
  4. A list of print jobs should appear.
  5. Select the job(s) that you would like to print.
  6. Hit START, and your printing job should begin.
  7. If you would like to staple your document, you need to do this when you send the job to the printer from your Wintec computer. Talk to someone at the ITS Student Help Desk to find out how.

* If you do not have your ID card, you can login to your account at the MFD.
