Searching the ScienceDirect database

ScienceDirect is great for searches on agriculture, animal technology, business, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering, information technology, & health.

How to Search

1. Get to ScienceDirect by clicking the link above or going to the Library website and clicking the Databases page and then ScienceDirect.

A multi-disciplinary database covering agriculture, animal technlogy, business, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering, information technology, & health.

2. On the search page, make sure to check the Subscribed Publications and Open Access articles boxes. This means you will be able to see the full text of the articles you find.

3. Now, use the search bars to type in your keywords or search terms. You cannot add a search bar, so you may have to think again about your keywords, or do multiple searches to get results for all of the keywords you have.

Remember, you can use the AND, OR, and NOT dropdown box to change your search.

You can change the date range of your results before you click 'Search'.

5. Happy searching! Use the PDF Full Text link to read an article.
