APA 6th Edition Referencing: Resources from Moodle

This is a Wintec guide to help you with referencing in the American Psychological Association (APA) style.

Material uploaded to Moodle

If you have used information from resources your tutor has put on Moodle—including within PowerPoint presentations—you must reference the original source. If your tutor is the author of the information, reference your tutor and include the type of material in [square brackets]. Include the paper title and code in the retrieval details.

Author, A. (Date of publication). Title of material in italics [Moodle]. Retrieval information.


Example—reference list entry 

Smith, A. (2017). ​Week 7: A model of nursing care [Moodle]. Retrieved from Wintec Introduction to Nursing HLBN511 Moodle website

Example—in-text citation

…as Smith (2017) states ... 
or
 … (Smith, 2017).
