Lewis and Foley. Health assessment in nursing (book chapter)

The information on the title page is confusing. The original (5th) US edition by Weber and Kelly has been extensively re-written by various people, listed on page v, and Lewis and Foley have edited the entire book. Therefore Weber and Kelly's names are not included in the reference.

Example—reference list entry

Conroy, T. (2014). Abdomen. In P. Lewis & D. Foley (Eds.), Health assessment in nursing (2nd Australian and New Zealand ed., pp. 449–482). Sydney, Australia: Wolters Kluwer/Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.

Pillitteri's child and family health nursing in Australia and New Zealand (book chapter)
The original US edition by Adele Pillitteri has been extensively rewritten and adapted for Australasia by various authors. To find the author of the chapter you used, you will need to look through the list on pages iv-v to see which chapters were written by which author (Christine Haley is the editor of the entire book).

Example—reference list entry

Bull, A. (2016). Nursing care of a postnatal family. In C. Haley (Ed.), Pillitteri's child and family health nursing in Australia and New Zealand (2nd ed., pp. 235–296). North Ryde, Australia: Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.

Psychiatric and mental health nursing (book chapter)
The people listed on the title page are not the authors of all the chapters; each chapter has separate authors listed. On page vii, the people named on the title page are listed as editors, so this is, in fact, an edited book with chapters by individual authors.

Example—reference list entry

Nizette, D., & Barkway, P. (2013). Mental health theory and influence across the lifespan. In K. Evans, D. Nizette, & A. O’Brien (Eds.), Psychiatric and mental health nursing (4th ed., pp. 121–147). Chatswood, Australia: Elsevier.
