APA 6th Edition Referencing: Six or more authors

Book with six or more authors

Author, A., Author, B., Author, C., Author, D., Author, E., Author, F., ...Author, H. (Date of publication). Title of book (ed.). Place of publication, Country (Abbreviated state instead of country for USA): Publisher.

Watson, S., Gunasekara, G., Gedye, M., van Roy, Y., Ross, M., Longdin, L., ... Brown, L. (2009). Law of business organisations (5th ed.). Auckland, New Zealand: Palatine Press.

Example—reference list entry

Watson, S., Gunasekara, G., Gedye, M., van Roy, Y., Ross, M., Longdin, L., ... Brown, L. (2009). Law of business organisations (5th ed.). Auckland, New Zealand: Palatine Press.

Example—in-text citation

Watson et al. (2009) explain that … (p. 58).
or
… (Watson et al., 2009, p. 58).

Note: For books with 8 or more authors, list the first 6 authors followed by ellipsis (...), then the last author. For books with 6 or 7 authors, simply list all of the authors.
