Research

Te Pūkenga/Wintec can support researchers in numerous ways:

The library can be a valuable resource for researchers at a higher learning institution, providing access to materials, research assistance, and a supportive environment that facilitates research and promotes scholarly communication.

                         1. It can provide access to a wide range of academic and scholarly materials, including books, journals, databases, and other resources that are necessary for research. This can be achieved through the library's acquisition and subscription of these materials or by providing access to them through inter-library loan services.
2. The library can offer research assistance services such as reference services, research consultations, and information literacy instruction to help researchers navigate and effectively utilise the resources available to them. These services can be tailored to meet the specific needs of researchers, including those working on specific projects or those who are new to the research process.
3. The library can provide a conducive environment for research, including quiet study spaces, access to technology, and specialized software or equipment for data analysis, visualisation, and other research needs. The library can also offer support for the dissemination of research findings through publishing and scholarly communication services, including open-access publishing, institutional repositories, and copyright management.
