Important information: Bills are proposed legislation. They have not been passed into law.

Bills are included in the reference list in the correct alphabetical sequence.

Title of the Bill and Year of introduction (Bill number–Bar number). URL (if available)

In-text citations
Use the name of the Bill. For Bills with long titles, use the full title the first time you cite it and a shortened form thereafter.

In-text citation
It is clear from the proposed legislation, carefully consideration should be given to this aspect (Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill 2024 [94-1]). 

When citing a specific section of a Bill, include the section number in your in-text citations. For example:
