APA 7th Edition Referencing Guide1

A Wintec Library guide to referencing in APA 7th edition style

Referencing printed course booklets/readers, class handouts

If the booklet contains material not authored by your tutor (for example, a page copied from a textbook), you will need to reference the material in the original source.

If your tutor is the author of the material, cite your tutor as the author. Note the format in square brackets after the title, and include the name of your centre or department, and Wintec in the reference list entry. For example:

Author, A. (Date). Title of booklet/reader in italic sentence case [Format]. Centre for Health and Social Practice, Wintec.

Smith, A. (2017). HLBN511 Introduction to nursing: A model of nursing care [Course booklet]. Centre for Health and Social Practice, Wintec.
