APA 7th Edition Referencing Guide1

A Wintec Library guide to referencing in APA 7th edition style

Referencing an audiobook

When referencing an audiobook:

  • Include the narrator's name in parentheses after the title.
  • If the audiobook version has been edited or translated from the original, include the names of the editor(s) and/or translator(s) in brackets after the title.
  • If the audiobook was released in a different year than the text version, treat the audiobook as a republished work and include the original publication date in brackets at the end of the reference list entry.

For example:

Author, A. (Republished date). Title of audiobook: Subtitle in italic sentence case (A., Translator, Trans.; B, Narrator, Narr.) [Audiobook]. Title of website. URL (Original publication date)
