Quick links

Referencing a YouTube or other streaming video with an individual author

When referencing a YouTube video, credit the uploader as the author and include their username in square brackets where possible. If the uploader's name is not clear, simply use their username and omit the brackets. Streaming videos from other online sources (e.g., Vimeo) can be referenced similarly—just replace YouTube with the name of the relevant source.
